Take on the Victor’s Attitude

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 23:7 “for as he thinks in his heart, so is he”.  Don’t
meditate on the problem, but meditate on the word of God that will overcome any
problem.  Remember that “all things are possible to them that believe”.

David in his writings of the Psalms, in Psalms 27:1-6 it says “the Lord Yahweh is
my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord Yahweh is the strength
of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?  When the wicked, even my enemies and my
foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.  Though a host
should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise
against me, in this will I be confident.  One thing have I desired of the Lord
Yahweh, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord Yahweh
all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord Yahweh and to enquire in
His temple.  For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the
secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock.  And
now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; therefore will
I offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises to the
Lord Yahweh”.

And in Psalms 56:3-4 it says “what time I am afraid, I will trust in You.  In God I will
praise His word, in God I have put my trust, I will not fear what flesh can do to
me”.

Again in Psalms 46:1-3 it says “God is our refuge and strength, a very present
help in trouble.  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and
though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.  Though the waters
thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the selling
thereof, Selah”.

The Bible tells us many times “fear not”; and in Isaiah 41:10 it tells us why; God
says “fear you not; for I am with you; be not dismayed; for I am your God, I will
strengthen you; yea, I will help you, yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of
My righteousness”.

Gideon was afraid of the Midianites and was hiding out trying to thresh some
wheat, “and the angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, the Lord
Yahweh is with you, you mighty man of valor”.  And after Gideon speaks to the
angel of the Lord, and realizes that God is with him, he was used of God to
deliver Israel from their oppressors.  Gideon’s attitude changed from a victim to a
victor; Judges 6-7 reveals all the facts.

The Bible tells us that “God will never leave us nor forsake us” (Hebrews 13:5).
And then in I John 4:4 it says “you are of God, little children, and have overcome
them, because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world”.  We
have the opportunity to draw near to God and be led by the Holy Spirit.

You have a purpose, a destiny, so you don’t have to take drugs or alcohol to be
up; you can stay up, because Romans 8:10-11 says “and if Christ be in you, the
body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  But
if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised
up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that
dwells in you”.

Why not listen to what God says about you; He says we are move than
conquerors, we are the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. II
Corinthians 2:14 says that God always causes us to triumph in Christ.

God have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a
sound mind (II Timothy 1:7).  And knowing where fear comes from, we have to
reject it.

Paul tells Timothy “when I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in you,
which dwelled first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice, and I am
persuaded that in you also.  Where fore I put you in remembrance that you stir
up the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands”.

In Hebrews 10:22-25 the Bible says “let us draw near with a true heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our
bodies washed with pure water.  Let us hold fast the profession of our faith
without wavering, for He is faithful that promised.  And let us consider one
another to provoke to love, and to good works.  Nor forsaking the assembling of
ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another and so
much the more, as you see the day approaching”.

Peter writes “wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance
of these things, though you know them and be established in the present truth.
Yea, I think it right as long as I am in this earthly body, to stir you up by putting
you in remembrance”;

We have to take the authority which Jesus gave and begin to bind the things
which are in heaven to come unto the earth; And to loose those things which are
not in heaven, from being unto the earth.

Paul writes in Romans 12:1-2 and he was speaking to believers; he said “I
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable
service.  And be not conformed to this world, but be you transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God”.  Renewing our mind is coming in agreement with the
word of God, and acting upon it.

We are told to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and
find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).  We are not making demands
on God for anything, because the Bible says that God has given us all things
that pertain to life and godliness.  We are demanding the devil to take his hands
off what God has given us.  Remember as Jesus said “the thief (devil) comes
only to steal, kill and destroy; I am come that they might have life and what they
might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
