Seed
God gives seed to the sower (Psalms 68:11) says “The Lord gave the word, great was
the company of those that proclaim it”, then the sower sows the word (Mark 4:14). In
the parable of the sower Jesus said “the sower sows the word” the sower doesn’t have
to know how it works, he only have to sow the seed (Mark 4:26-28) “And He said, so is
the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground. And should sleep
and rise night and day and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how.
For the earth brings forth fruit of itself, first the blade then the ear, after that the full
corn in the ear”. Jesus says “now the parable is this. The seed is the word of God”
(Luke 8:11), and the soil is the heart (Mark 4:15) “but when they have heard, satan
comes immediately, and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts”.
Jesus said “For I have not spoken of Myself, but the Father which sent Me, He gave
Me a commandment what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that His
commandment is life everlasting, whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father
said to Me, so I speak” (John 12:50). Yet people are told to say it like it is, that’s the
world’s way, however, we being in the image of God are told to call those things that
be not as though they were (Romans 4:17). The Bible says “Let the redeemed of the
Lord Yahweh say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy” (Psalms
107:2), it also says “let the weak say I am strong” (Joel 3:10). In other words speak
what God has said about you. That’s why Jesus tells us “I say to you, love your
enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them
which despitefully use you and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44).
People have been sowing seed of the world and looking for the blessings of God,
picture it this way, the seed of the world are weed and will choke out the harvest that
God has provided for you. You can’t mix the seed of God and the seed of the world
together. In James 1:6-8 it says “but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering for he that
wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man
think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in
all his ways”.
Jesus said “whatever you say and believe in your heart, you shall have (Mark 11:23).
That works both ways, Jesus also said “O generation of vipers, how can you, being
evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A
good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things, and an evil
man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. But I say to you, that every idle
word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For
by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned”
(Matthew 12:34-37). We have to check up on what we are saying (sowing). Jesus
said “if you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you would say to this sycamore tree,
be you plucked up by the root, and be you planted in the sea, and it should obey you”
(Luke 17:6). Jesus commended the centurion (Matthew 8:5-13) in verse 8 “the
centurion answered and said, Lord I am not worthy that You should come under my
roof, but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed”, in verse 10 “when
Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to them that followed. Verily I say to you, I have
not found so great faith, no not in Israel”, in verse 13 “and Jesus said to the centurion,
go your way, and as you have believed, so be it done to you. And his servant was
healed in the self same hour”.
We have been given the keys to the kingdom and are told “whatsoever you shall bind
on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19). We have to use the authority which is given to
us. Again in Matthew 18:18-20) the Bible says “Verily I say to you, whatsoever you
shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever you shall loose on earth
shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, that if two of you shall agree on earth
as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which
is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name there am I in
the midst of them”. When you agree with something said about you by speaking it,
you get it.
The Bible says in Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” and
II Peter 1:3-4 “According as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to
life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him, that has called us to glory and
virtue. Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises that by these
you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in
the world through lust”. These have been legally given to us by God, we have to
speak them out to agree and receive them in the natural.
In Joshua 1:8 God tells Joshua “this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth,
but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to
all that is written therein, for then you shall make your way prosperous and then you
shall have good success”. God shows us how this works in Genesis chapter 1, it says
“and God said, and God saw”. We being in the image of God are creating things
around us. Proverbs 18:20-21 says “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of
his mouth, and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the
power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. Whatever you
are saying is either bringing life or death to your life. There are times when situations
happen in your life that you did not plant, Jesus gave an account of the good man
planting seed in his garden, and the devil coming in at night and planting weed in that
garden. There is still hope for the situation in which bad seed were sown in your
garden without fault of your own. Remember the man born blind, Jesus’ disciples
asked Him, who had sinned the man or his parents, and Jesus said neither. Words of
life have to be spoken over that situation to counter it, don’t accept it and blame God,
ask God for wisdom to come out of it. Jesus spoke to a storm and it became calm also
He spoke to a tree and it dried up at the roots. Speak God’s word over any situation
and it will change.
Let us take God at His word and speak the word only. In Ephesians 3:20 it says “Now
to Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us”. You see it’s whatever you ask or think, so
why not think big, and speak what God says about you? The Bible warns us in
Galatians 6:7-9 “Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that
shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but
he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be
weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”.
