The Same Spirit of Faith

The same spirit of faith you use to receive your salvation (Romans 10:6-10) “the
righteousness which is of faith speaks on this wise.  Say not in your heart, who
shall ascend into heaven?  That is, to bring Christ down from above.  Or, who shall
descend into the deep? That is to bring up Christ again from the dead?  But what
says it?  The word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart that is, the
word of faith which we preach.  That is you shall confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you
shall be saved.  For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the
mouth, confession is made to salvation”.

The same spirit of faith you use to receive your needs (II Corinthians 4:11-14) “for
we which live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of
Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.  So then death works in us, that
life in you.  We having the same spirit of faith according as it is written, I believed,
and therefore have I spoken, we also believe, and there speak.  Knowing that He
which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present
us with you”.  The key is us believing the word of God.

Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:18-20) Jesus said “the Spirit of the
Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor,
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,
and recovering of sight to the blind; to set at liberty them that are bruised.  To
preach the acceptable year of the Lord”.

We are anointed, I John 2:27-29 says “but the anointing which you have received
of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you; but as the same
anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has
taught you, you shall abide in Him.  And now, little children, abide in Him, that, when
He shall appear; we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His
coming.  If you know that He is righteous, you know that every one that does
righteousness is born of Him”.

Remember as Jesus promised o send to us the Holy Spirit, He said in (John 16:13)
“however, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth; for
He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak;
and He will show you things to come”.

We are told to be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18-20) “be not drunk with wine,
wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.  Speaking to yourselves in psalms
and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the
Lord.  Giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ”.

Faith is a fight, Jesus taught us that the devil comes to steal the word of God out of
our heart when we don’t understand it.  So it is very important that we ask
questions and know what we believe and why (James 1:5-8) says “if any of you lack
wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it
shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavers is
like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  For let not that man think
that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.  A double minded man is unstable in all
his ways”.

Romans 8:9-11 tells us “you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the
Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none
of His.  And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life
because of righteousness.  But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the
dead dwell in you.  He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (make
alive) your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you”.

Jesus told us something profound in John 14:12-14, which says “verily, verily, I say
to you, he that believes on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater
works than these shall be do, because I go to My Father.  And whatsoever you
shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If
you shall ask anything in My name, I will do it”.  Paul says the same thing in
Philippians 4:13, which says “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens
me”.

We don’t bear fruit of our own self, we bear fruit by our confession.  Jesus said
“abide in Me, and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide
in the vine; no more can you except you abide in Me.  I am the vine, you are the
branches; He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for
without Me you can do nothing.  If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a
branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and
they are burned”.

We bear fruit by our asking, asking in His name and the Father will give it (John 15:
7-8) “if you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will,
and it shall be done to you.  Herein is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit,
so shall you be My disciples”.  Ephesians 3:20 says, “now to Him, that is able to do
exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that
works in us”.

We are warned to try the spirit (I John 4:1-4) which says “beloved, believe not
every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God; because many false
prophets are gone out into the world.  Hereby know you the Spirit of God, every
spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.  And every
spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God, and
this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come, and
even now already is in the world.  You are of God, little children, and have
overcome them; because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world”.

Spiritual gifts that equip us are gifts from the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25) says
“but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith.  Meekness, temperance against such there is no law.  And they that are
Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit,
let us also walk in the Sprit”.

I Corinthians 12:7-13 says “the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to
profit withal.  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the
word of knowledge by the same Spirit.  To another faith by the same Spirit; to
another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit.  To another the working of miracles,
to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of
tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.  But all these works that one and
the self same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will.  For as the body is
one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many
are one body, so also is Christ.  For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all
made to drink into one Spirit”.  Zechariah 4:6 says, “not by might, nor by power, but
by My Spirit, says the Lord Yahweh of hosts”.

We have the same spirit of faith, yet, we have to believe it and then walk in it.
Remember that Proverbs 23:7 says, “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he”.  We
have to believe the Bible, it is the word of God.
