The Power is Hidden in the Presence of God

Habakkuk prayed a prayer, in which we see His power hid in His presence (Habakkuk 3:
2-5).  Proverbs 25:2 says “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honor of
kings is to search out a matter.”

A lot of people are seeking the power of God, the power to heal them, to save their
family, to prosper them, yet they are standing afar off from Him.  the Bible however,
says “Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; the upright shall dwell in
Your presence “(Psalms 140:13).  We see God’s desire for us to be in His presence,
when He came after Adam, when Adam tried to hid from God’s presence as Genesis 3:
8 which says “and they heard the voice of the Lord Yahweh God walking in the garden
in the cool of the day and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Lord
God among the trees of the garden”.

Psalms 100 is a powerful psalm which shows us we are to come into His presence
(Psalms 100:1-5).  Verse 2 says “serve the Lord with gladness, come before His
presence with singing.”  Verse 4 gives us a step by step example, it says “enter into His
gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise, be thankful to Him, and bless
His name.”  Thanksgiving, praise, and  joyfulness, knowing that as verse 5 says “for the
Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations.”

The Bible tells us one of God’s promises “You will show me the path of life, in Your
presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures for evermore”
(Psalms 16:11).  Isaiah 26:2-4 says “Open you the gates, that the righteous nation
which keeps the truth may enter in.  You will keep them in perfect peace, whose mind is
stayed on You, because he trusts in You.  Trust you in the Lord Yahweh for ever, for in
the Lord Yahweh is everlasting strength.”

God the Father said through the prophets and Jesus said as He was being lifted up to
heaven “I will never leave you or forsake you, even till the end of the age” (Psalms 27:4-
10).  So that means we are invited to draw near to God and He will draw near to us, as
we see in James 4:7.  God inhabits the praises of His people.  When we praise God we
are drawing near unto Him.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:7-8 “ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find,
knock and it shall be open to you.  For everyone that asks receives and he that seeks,
finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.”  Jeremiah wrote “For I know the
thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of
evil, to give you an expected end.  Then shall you call upon Me and you shall go and
pray to Me and I will hearken to you.  And you shall seek Me and find Me when you
shall search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

Even when you know that you have failed God, don’t turn away from Him, but repent
and cry out for His mercy (Psalms 103:8-17).
