Fit for the Masters Use

God predestined for us to be conformed of His Son, it tells us in Romans 8:29-30
which says “for whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to
the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover
whom He did predestinate, them, He also called; and whom He called, them, He also
justified; and whom H justified, them He also glorified”; but its up to us to yield to His
will for us.

The Bible tells us how in II Timothy 2:15-16, 19-21, it says “study to show yourself
approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word
of truth.  But shun profane and vain babblings; for they will increase to more
ungodliness.   Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, the
Lord knows them that are His.  And, let every one that names the name of Christ
depart from iniquity.  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of
silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor.  If a
man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honor, sanctified,
and fit for the master’s use, and prepared to every good work”.

Jesus tells us in John 15:10-12 “if you keep My commandments, you shall abide in
My love; even as I have kept My Father’s commandments, and abide in His love.
These things have I spoken to you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy
might be full.  This is My commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved
you”.

God is a Spirit, and He has given people authority on the earth.  In Genesis 1:26-28,
we see that God created us in His image and His likeness and gave us dominion.

Adam fell for the devils trap and gave his authority over to the devil, II Corinthians 4
tells us that satan is the god of this world.  Adam’s fall took all mankind into sin.  And
because God does not change, He didn’t take the authority back, but He did make
the way for Jesus to restore it to us (Romans 5:17-19) “for if by one man’s (Adam)
offence death reigned by one, much more they which receive abundance of grace
and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by One, Jesus Christ.  Therefore as
by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the
righteousness of One the free gift came upon all men to justification of life.  For as by
one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One shall
many be made righteous”.

Noah was used of God to keep mankind alive through the flood (Genesis 6:7-9,13-
14) “and the Lord Yahweh said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face
of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for
it repents Me that I have made them.  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord
Yahweh.  These are the generations of Noah; Noah was a just man and perfect in his
generations, and Noah walked with God.  And God said to Noah, the end of all flesh
is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will
destroy them with the earth.  Make you an ark of gopher wood; rooms shall you make
in the ark, and shall pitch it inside and outside with pitch”.

Moses was used of God to deliver the Israelites out of Egypt (Exodus 3:1-2,7-10)
“now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian; and he led
the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to
Horeb.  And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst
of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was
not consumed.  And the Lord Yahweh said, I have surely seen the affliction of My
people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters;
for I know their sorrows.  And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the
Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good land and a large; to a land
flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the
Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.  Now therefore,
behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come to Me, and I have also seen the
oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.  Come now therefore, and I will
send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth My people the children of Israel out of
Egypt”.

Ezekiel was used to tell sinners to repent and turn back to God (Ezekiel 3:17-21)
“son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel, therefore hear the
word of My mouth, and give them warning from Me.  When I say to the wicked, you
shall surely die; and you give him not warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his
wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his
blood will I require at your hand.  Yet if you warn the wicked, and he turn not from his
wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have
delivered your soul.  Again, when a righteous man does turn from his righteousness,
and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you
have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he
has done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at your hand.
Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he does
not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also you have delivered your
soul”.

God Himself says in Ezekiel 22:30 “and I sought for a man among them, that should
make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not
destroy it; but I found none”.

We are told that God wants all mankind to be saved; the apostle Paul writes in I
Timothy 2:1-4 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.  For kings, and for all that
are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and
honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.  Who will
have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth”.

Psalms 82 says “God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the
gods.  How long will you judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked?
Selah.  Defend the poor and fatherless, do justice to the afflicted and needy.  Deliver
the poor and needy; rid them out of the hand of the wicked.  They know not, neither
will they understand; they walk on in darkness, all the foundations of the earth are
out of course.  I have said, you are gods, and all of you are children of the Most
High.  But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.  Arise, O god, judge
the earth; for you shall inherit all nations”.

We are workers together with God (I Corinthians 3:9) says “for we are laborers
together with God; you are God’s garden, you are God’s building”.  Remember that
we are the body of Christ, we are ambassadors for Christ.  II Corinthians 6:1 says “we
then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace
of God in vain”.

The apostle Paul commends us to help each other (Philippians 4:3) “and I entreat
you also, true yoke fellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel,
with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of
life”; and in Galatians 6:1-2 which says “brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault,
you which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering
yourself, less you also be tempted.  Bear you one another’s burdens, and so fulfill
the law of Christ”.

The apostle John also commends us to help each other (III John 1:8) “we therefore
ought to receive such, that we might be fellow helpers to the truth”.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:18-20 “and Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All
power is given to Me in heaven and in earth.  Go you therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit.  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and,
lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world”.  He says in Mark 16:15-18
“and He said to them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature.  He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believes not
shall be dammed.  And these signs shall follow them that believe; in My name shall
they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.  They shall take up serpents;
and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the
sick, and they shall recover”.
