Fire is Available for Whosoever Wills

Fire is the supernatural phenomenon of God’s presence that guided the Israelites in
the wilderness (Exodus 13:21-22) “and the Lord Yahweh went before them by day in
a pillar of cloud, to lead them the way, and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them
light; to go by day and night.  He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the
pillar of fire by night, from before the people”.  God’s presence protected and guided
the Israelites from the pursuing Egyptians as they went through the midst of the Red
Sea  (Exodus 14:23-25) “and the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the
midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.  And it
came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord Yahweh looked to the host of the
Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the
Egyptians.  And took off their chariot wheels, that they drove them heavily, so that
the Egyptians said, let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord Yahweh fights for
them against the Egyptians”.

Fire is the supernatural outpouring on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:2-4) “and
suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled
all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared to them cloven tongues
like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy
Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance”.

Fire is the outpouring on the Gentiles; Cornelius a centurion, a devout man; as he
prayed to God, received a vision of an angel of God saying to him to send for Peter.
As he followed the orders of the angel of God, and when Peter arrived and preached
the gospel “while Peter yet spoke these words the Holy Spirit fell on all them which
heard the word.  And they of the circumcision (Jews) which believed were astonished,
as many as came with Peter because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the
gift of the Holy Spirit.  For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God,
then answered Peter.  Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized,
which have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?”

What does the fire do?  It gives us power;  after Jesus’ resurrection, He showed
Himself and gave commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen. “and being
assembled together with them commanded them that they should not depart from
Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father which, says He, you have heard of
Me.  For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit
not many days from here.  But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is
come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem, and in all
Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth”(Acts 1:4-5,8).

It’s God that gives the fire; John the Baptist declared  “I indeed baptize you with water
to repentance, but He that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not
worthy to bear, He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire” (Matthew 3:11
and Luke 3:16).  It was prophecied by the prophet Joel and declared as fulfilled by
Peter (Acts 2:16-21) verses 17-19 says “and it shall come to pass in the last days,
says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men
shall dream dreams.  And on My servants and on My handmaidens, I will pour out in
those days of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy.  And I will show wonders in heaven
above, and signs in the earth beneath, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke”.  II
Timothy 1:7 says  “for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of
love, and of a sound mind”.

We are told that we can ask for it (Luke 11:9-13) says “and I say to you, ask, and it
shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.
For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks, finds; and to him that knocks it
shall be opened.  If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give
him a stone?  Or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?  Or if he shall
ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  If you then, being evil, know how to give
good gifts to your children, how, much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy
Spirit to them that ask Him?”

The apostles prayed and laid hands on others to receive “wherefore I put you in
remembrance that you stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my
hands”.

How to operate in the fire (Philemon 6) Paul prayed “that the communication of your
faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you
in Christ Jesus”.  Peter prayed “to stir you up by putting you in remembrance” (II
Peter 1:13) and in II Peter 3:1-2 it says “this second epistle beloved, I now write to
you, in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance.  That you may
be mindful of the words, which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the
commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior”.  Remember that “greater
is He that is in you that is in the world”.

The Bible tells us that our God is a consuming fire (Deuteronomy 4:24 and Hebrews
12:29).  We being made in His image and likeness, should have the fire; it’s ours
(Psalms 104:4 and Hebrews 1:7) the Bible says “God, who makes His angels spirits,
His ministers a flaming fire”.  Jesus says “behold, I give to you power to tread on
serpents, and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall b
any means hurt you”.  Let us receive what Jesus paid for us to have.  Jesus told us
that the things He did, we shall do also, and greater works than these because I go
to My Father.  He also said “go you in all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believes not
shall be damned.  And these signs shall follow them that believe, in My name shall
they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues.  they shall lay hands on the
sick, and they shall recover.  So then after the Lord had spoken to them, He was
received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.  And they went forth, and
preached every where, the Lord working with them and confirming the word with
signs following (Mark 16:15-20).

The gospel of Christ is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes
(Romans 1:16); as we by faith go forth and preach the gospel; telling people what
Jesus has already done for whosoever will believe and receive it.

Jeremiah 20:9 says “then I said, I will (and this is Jeremiah speaking) not make
mention of Him, nor speak any more in His name, but His words was in mine heart, as
a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not
stay”.  This Jeremiah spoke even after being persecuted for speaking the word of
God.  We like Jeremiah have to let the fire out, the fire is the word of God.
