Do You Know Who You Are?

The Bible tells us in Colossians 2:10 “you are complete in Him which is the head of all
principality and power”.  Complete = fulfill, perfect, finish, entire, whole. You have to
speak from your position in Christ, Ephesians 2:6 says “and has raised us up together
and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”  We are told “if you then
be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right
hand of God.  Set your affections on things above not on things on the earth.  For you
are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is our life, shall
appear, then shall you also appear with Him in glory” (Colossians 3:1-4).  What this
means is we have to focus on what the Word of God says.  The Bible says “I can do all
things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).  And it says “and the
Lord shall make you the head and not the tail, and you shall be above only and you
shall not be beneath; if that you hearken to the commandments of the Lord your God
which I command you this day, to observe and to do them” (Deuteronomy 28:13).  Paul
as he was addressing those on Mars hill says “for in Him, we live, and move, and have
our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, for we are also His offspring”
(Acts 17:28; Ephesians 1:3-7).

The important thing to remember is that God made us and He knows best, what we are
(Psalms 139:13-17).  Like any maker, any product made has to go back to the maker
to understand how to operate the product; well the Bible is our life manual (Romans 8:1-
11, 29-32).  We are made in the image and likeness of God, and was given dominion
over all the works of His hands. That’s why the unbelievers are trying to get you to
believe you came from slime, or an ape, so you don’t use your authority.  Luke 10:19
says we have authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing can by any means
hurt you, but if you don’t use it satan will trick you to live beneath yourself.

Proverbs 23:7 says “for as he thinks in his heart, so is he”, however there is a great
promise in Ephesians 3:20 “now to Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above
all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.”  You see we could be
holding God back, by what we are thinking; one of the tricks of the devil is to make you
think bad about yourself, he brings up to you things you did, trying to condemn you,
making you think because you failed in some area, that God doesn’t love you anymore
and can’t use you anymore.  But you have to remember, he is a liar.  When you fall,
just get up and repent and ask God for his help, and you are forgiven and cleaned
from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).

The Bible tells us many times to walk by faith and not by sight.  Faith = believing and
acting on what God’s Word says.  There is no lack in God.  The Word says “all things
are possible to them that believe”.  When you read what they call the Lord’s prayer
says “Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10)
you see that God wants us to live as heaven on earth.  If you don’t know how you are
to live, the book of Revelations says that there is no sickness, no want, no lack in
heaven, so that means it’s God’s will for us to prosper and be in health as it says in III
John 2..

We have to establish that the Word of God is the truth, make the Bible the final
authority in your life.
