Take God at His Word

In other words, believe what He says and then act on His words (Matthew 7:24-
27) “therefore whosoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will
liken him to a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.  And the rain
descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that
house, and it fell not for it was founded upon a rock.  And every one that hears
these sayings of Mine, and does them not, shall be likened to a foolish man,
which built his house upon the sand.  And the rain descended, and the floods
came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell, and great was
the fall of it”. He said this after He explained that every one that says to Me,
Lord Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that does the will of
My Father which is in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have
we not prophesied in Your name?  And in Your name have cast out devils?
And in Your name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess to them,
I never knew you, depart from Me, you that work iniquity’ (verses 21-23).

James says “but be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving
your own selves.  For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like
to a man beholding his natural face in a glass.  For he beholds himself, and
goes his way, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was.  But whoso
looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a
forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed”
(James 1:22-25).

This sounds like what Jesus said in John 8:31-32 “then said Jesus to those
Jews which believed on Him.  If you continue in My word, then are you My
disciples indeed.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you
free”.

God has placed His word above His name (Psalms 138:2), David says “I will
worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name, for Your loving
kindness and for Your truth, for You have magnified Your word above all Your
name”.  In Isaiah 55:11 God says “so shall My word be that goes forth out of My
mouth, it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. Remember the Bible says “let
God be the truth and every man a lie”.

The Bible says “all things are possible to hem that believe”.  Jesus confirmed
this when He went to His own home town and not many were healed (Matthew
13:57-58) “and they were offended in Him, but Jesus said to them, a prophet is
not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.  And He did
not many mighty works there because of their unbelief”.  Jesus told many “your
faith have made you whole”.  They believed the word and acted on it.

Proverbs says “trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not to your own
understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your
paths.  Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord Yahweh and depart from
evil.  It shall be health to your navel, and marrow to your bones” (Proverbs 3:5-
8).  The problem is that people try to reason in their minds the things of God,
but the Bible says “for they that are after the flesh, do mind the things of the
flesh, but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.  for to be carnally
minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the
carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, neither
indeed can be.  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God” (Romans
8:5-8).

God says in Numbers 6:22-27 “and the Lord Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying.
Speak to Aaron and to his sons saying, on this wise you shall bless the children
of Israel, saying to them.  The Lord Yahweh bless you, and keep you.  The
Lord Yahweh make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.  The Lord
lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.  And they shall put My
name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them”.  The Jewish people use
this principle, they bless their children with this blessing.

The Jewish people is a small percentage of the world population, but they are
prosperous more than any other group, because they take God at His word.
And we should too, you see God wants to bless His children Israel, and we are
His children too (Galatians 3:26-29) “for you are all the children of God by faith
in Christ Jesus.  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put
on Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there
is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  And if you be
Christ’s, then are you Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise”.

The Jewish people also meet each other and say “Shalom” which means –
health, prosperity, peace (Psalms 122:7-8) “peace be inside your walls, and
prosperity inside your palaces.  For my brethren and companions sake, I will
now say, peace be within you”; and Psalms 129:8 says “the blessing of the
Lord Yahweh be upon you; we bless you in the name of the Lord Yahweh”.  I
know that this works, because my grandchildren were trying me with acting
inappropriately and instead of saying any thing negative, the Lord taught be a
song which goes “the blessing of the Lord be upon you, I bless you in the name
of the Lord”; and there is a great difference in them now.  Praise God.

Let us take God at His word, so He can bless our lives and use us for His glory.
Proverbs 30:5 says “every word of God is pure, He is a shield to them that put
their trust in Him”.  I only touched on a few, but as you establish His word as the
Bible says by two or three witnesses, let every word be established
(Deuteronomy 17:6; Matthew 18:16 and II Corinthians 13:1); step out and do it.
Psalms 68:11 says “the Lord gave the word, great was the company of those
that published it”, (proclaimed it).
