The Spirit of the Living God is in You

I was reading in the book of Daniel, and as I was reading Daniel 4:8-9, king
Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and no one could interpret it; which says “but at the
last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the
name of my god, and in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God; and before him I told
the dream, saying.  O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that
the Spirit of the Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles you tell me the vision of
my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

Also in Daniel 5:11-12 king Belshazzar, Nebuchadnezzar’s son was having a party
and brought in the holy vessels from the temple of the house of God and begin to
drink out of them and praised his gods, and a hand wrote on the wall and no one
could read what it said, then the queen said “there is a man in your kingdom, in
whom the Spirit of the Holy God; and in the days of your father light and
understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom
the king Nebuchadnezzar your father, the king, I say, your father made master of
the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers.  Forasmuch as an
excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and
showing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts were found in the same
Daniel whom the king named Belteshazzar; now let Daniel be called, and he will
show the interpretation”.

I was quickened in my spirit that the Spirit of the Living God is in me too.

Lets look through and see what made the spirit possible for others to see.

In Daniel chapter 1, Judah was captured and taken to Babylon, and certain of the
children of Israel, and of the king’s seed was taken and in 1:8,11-15,17-20 it says
“but Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of
the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the
prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.  Then said Daniel to Melzar,
whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and
Azariah.  Prove your servants, I beseech you, ten days; and let them give us
vegetables to eat and water to drink.  Then let our countenances be looked upon
before you, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king’
s meat; and as you see, deal with your servants.  So he consented to them in this
matter, and proved them ten days.  And at the end of ten days their countenances
appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of
the king’s meat.  As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in
all learning and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in; then the
prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.  And the king
communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah
Mishael, and Azariah therefore stood they before the king.  And in all matters of
wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten
times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm”.

In Daniel 2:1-3 “and in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar,
Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep
broke from him.  Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the
astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to show the king his
dreams.  So they came and stood before the king.  And the king said to them, I
have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream”.  But they
could not tell him his dream or the interpretation and the king being angry and very
furious commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.  Daniel found out
about it and inquired of the Lord Yahweh (verses 13-19) “and the decree went
forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to
be slain.  Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of
the king’s guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon.  He
answered and said to Arioch the king’s captain, why is the decree so hasty from
the king?  Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.  Then Daniel went in, and
desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would show the king
the interpretation.  Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to
Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions.  That they would desire mercies
of the God of heaven concerning this secret that Daniel and his fellows should not
perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.  Then was the secret revealed to
Daniel in a night vision.  Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven”.  After finding
out Daniel requested to be brought before the king and he made known the dream
to the king (verses 28-36) “but there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets, and
makes known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days.  Your
dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, are these.  As for you, O king,
your thoughts came into your mind upon your bed, what should come to pass
hereafter; and He that reveals secrets makes known to you what shall come to
pass.  But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have
more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to
the king, and that you might know the thoughts of your heart.  You, O king, saw
and behold a great image.  This great image, whose brightness was excellent,
stood before you; and the form thereof was terrible.  This image’s head was of fine
gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of brass.  Its legs of
iron, its feet part of iron and part of clay.  You saw till that a stone was cut out
without hands, which smote the image upon its feet that were of iron and clay, and
broke them to pieces.  Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the
gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer
threshing floors, and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for
them; and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the
whole earth.  This is the dream, and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the
king”.  After telling the king the dream and the interpretation of it, the king
answered to Daniel, and said, of a truth it is that your God is a God of gods, and a
Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing you could reveal this secret”.
Daniel was then promoted.

In Daniel chapter 3:1-5 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose
height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits, he set it up in the
plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.  And he commanded that when they
heard the sound of the cornet, flute; harp, sackbut, and all kinds of music, that
they were to fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king
had set up.  However, certain Jews refused to bow down to the image (verses 14-
18) “Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said to them, is it true O Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abednego, do not you serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have
set up?  And he gave them another change to bow down, and told them that he
would cast them into the burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall
deliver you out of my hands?  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and
said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer you in this
matter.  If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us, from the burning
fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.  But if not, be it
known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden
image which you have set up”.  Now they were bound and cast into the fiery
furnace, however, they were not harmed (verses 24-28) “then Nebuchadnezzar the
king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spoke, and said to his counselors.
Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?  They answered and
said to the king, true, O king.  He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose,
walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is
like the Son of God.  Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning
fiery furnace, and spoke, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you
servants of the Most High God, come forth of the midst of the fire.  And the
princes, governors, and captains, and king’s counselors, being gathered together,
saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was a hair of their
head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on
them.  Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke, and said.  Blessed be the God of Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent His angel, and delivered His servants that
trusted in Him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that
they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God”.

In Daniel chapter 6, Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes,
because an excellent spirit was in him; and they were trying to find something to
bring against Daniel, but they could find no fault in him.  So they tricked the king to
make a decree that anyone who prayed or asked a petition of any god or man for
thirty days except the king, that he should be thrown into the den of lions.  Daniel
was thrown into the den of lions, yet without harm; and the king had Daniel
removed and threw his accusers and their families into the den of lions, and they
were destroyed.  Then the king made a decree (verse 26-27) “I make a decree,
that in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of
Daniel; for He is the living God, and steadfast forever, and His kingdom that which
shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall be even to the end.  He delivers
and rescues, and He works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has
delivered Daniel from the power of the lions”.

Daniel says in Daniel 11:32 “the people that do know their God shall be strong,
and do exploits”.

Joseph is another who reflected the Spirit of God that was on him (Genesis 39).
Joseph had a dream and told his brothers and they took him and threw him into a
pit, and was going to kill him, but they sold him as a slave to Egypt.  His master saw
that the Lord Yahweh was with him, and that the Lord Yahweh made all that he did
to prosper in his hand.  Even after his wife lied on Joseph and he was put into
prison, the keeper of the prison could see that the Lord was with him, and he
committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and
whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it (verse 23) says “the keeper of the
prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the Lord Yahweh
was with him, and that which he did, the Lord Yahweh made it to prosper”.  When
Pharoah had a dream and no one could interpret it, his butler remembered that
Joseph had interpreted his dream while he was in prison and it came to pass, so
he told the king.  Joseph was brought out of prison and brought before the king
and he interpreted the kings dream, the king recognized Joseph (chapter 41:38-
40) “and Pharoah said to his servants, can we find such a one as this is a man in
whom the Spirit of God is?  and Pharaoh said to Joseph, forasmuch as God has
showed you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are.  You shall be
over my house, and according to your word shall all my people be ruled, only in
the throne will I be greater than you”.

When we accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit came to live inside of you (Romans 8:1-2,9-
11) “there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in
Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.  But you are not in
the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any
man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.  And if Christ be in you, the
body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  But if
the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up
Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells
in you”.

The Bible tells us that “greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world”.

I believe that the Spirit quickened to me that the Spirit of the living God is in me,
because this is something that we all should know.
