Seeing into the Spiritual Realm

Our every blessing is from the Spirit (Eph 1:3)  When we consider that we are blessed
with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places, we need to know how to see into the
spiritual realm.  (Rom 8:32).  When Jesus said on the cross  “It is finished” He meant
just that.  His death on the cross opened the door for us to return into fellowship with
God.  As believers we become heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus (Rom 8:16-17;
Gal 3:29).

Our blessings include:

1.        Healing – for by His stripes we are healed (Ex 15:26; Ps 107:20;
             Isa 53:4-5; I Pet 2:24)

2.        Forgiveness – (Ps 103:1-5)
3.        Abundant life – (John 10:10)
4.        Goodness – (Ps 112:1-3; 115:12-15)
5.        Eternal life – (Rom 5:21, 6:23; Titus 1:2; I John 1-2, 5:11)

Spiritual gifts are imparted to the believer (I Cor 12:1-7; Col 1:9-11)  since these gifts
are gifts of grace, their use must be controlled by the principle of love (I Cor 13).

In II King 6:9-10 Elisha warned Israel about an ambush.  In vs 11-12 the king of Syria
was puzzled who was telling Israel.  Being angry he sought to kill Elisha, in vs 13-17
they camped around and planned to take Elisha, but Elisha could see into the spiritual
realm.  Elisha prayed for his servant to see into the spiritual realm and he did.  Elisha
then prayed in vs 18-20 and was able to defeat the enemy.  Paul prayed for the
Ephesians in Eph 1:17-19, we can take this prayer for ourselves, by praying it and
making it personal;  and we thank God that our eyes has been opened and that we
know the hope of His calling and the inheritance in the saints.

Jesus told us the Spirit would show us things to come (John 16:13)
Our ability to understand scripture correctly is given by the Spirit.

We are told by Paul to seek those things which are above (II Cor 4:18;  Eph 3:1-3;  Phil
4:8).  Jesus said in Matt 6:33 “seek ye first the kingdom of heaven…”.

Things that are made (material things) were made from things not seen (spiritual
things-the Word of God) (Rom 1:20; Heb 11:3).

We are told to walk by faith and not by sight (Rom 8:5-11, 14-17;  Gal 5:16-18;  II Cor
5:7)  remember the Spirit is the Word of God.  We are to be so dominated by the Spirit
that we are called spiritual (Gal 6:1).

Our citizenship is in heaven (Phil 3:20)  In Eph 2:6-7 God has raised us up.  In Heb 11:
7, 8, 10, 13;  Noah and Abraham considered themselves pilgrims on the earth.
