Jesus Christ is the Only Way

To establish this let us let the Bible reveal it to us.  Remember the Bible says by two
or three witnesses let a thing be established.

Jesus made a statement that many people dispute to this day (John 14:6-7,9) which
says “Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the
Father but by Me.  If you had known Me, you should have known My Father also
and from hereafter you know Him, and have seen Him.  Jesus said to him, have I
been so long time with you, and yet have you not known Me, Philip?  He that has
seen Me has seen the Father, and how say you then, show us the Father”.  John 3:
16-18) says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God
sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him
might be saved.  He that believes in Him is not condemned, but he that believes not
is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God”.   Jesus died so that we wouldn’t have to remain in our fallen
state.

God Himself says so; even through out the Old Testament, God tells Moses to teach
the Israelites of the One coming (Deuteronomy 18:15) “the Lord Yahweh your God
will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brethren like to me, to
Him you shall hearken”.  And again God says  in Deuteronomy 18:18-19) “I will raise
them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like to you, and will put My words in
His mouth; and He shall speak to them all that I shall command Him.  And it shall
come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken to My words which He shall speak in
My name, I will require it of him”.

Also in Acts 3:22-23 it says “for Moses truly said to the fathers, A Prophet shall the
Lord your God raise up to you of your brethren, like to me, Him shall you hear in all
things, whatsoever He say to you.  And it shall come to pass that every soul, which
will not hear that Prophet shall be destroyed from among the people”.

And in Hebrews 1:1-3 it says “God who at sundry times, and in diverts manners
spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets .  Have in these last days spoken
to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things by whom also He made
the worlds.  Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His
person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He by Himself
purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high”.

When Jesus was on the mount of transfiguration, and as He prayed, the fashion of
His countenance was altered, and His raiment was white and glistering.  And behold,
there talked with Him two men, which were Moses and Elijah.  Who appeared in
glory, and spoke of His decease which He should accomplish at Jerusalem.  And a
voice came from heaven saying (Luke 9:34-35) “while he thus spoke, there came a
cloud, and overshadowed them, and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
And there came a voice out of the cloud saying; this is My beloved Son, hear Him”.

Many say that God is not fair, because Adam’s sin have effected all and we were
counted sinners; but Paul reveals a mystery to us (Romans 5:8-12) which says “but
God commends His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us.  Much more then being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath
through Him.  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the
death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.  And
not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have
not received the atonement.  Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the
world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for then all have
sinned”.  Remember that God said things can only reproduce after its own kind, and
Adam was a fallen man.

He goes on to explains “but not as the offence, so also is the free gift.  For if
through the offense of one (Adam) many be dead, much more the grace of God,
and the gift by grace, which is by One man, Jesus Christ, has abounded to many.
And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift; for the judgment was by one to
condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences to justification.  For if by one
man’s (Adam) offence death reigned by one, much more they which receive
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by One, Jesus
Christ.  Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to
condemnation, even so by the righteousness of One (Jesus) the free gift came upon
all men to justification of life.  For as by one man’s (Adam) disobedience, many were
made sinners, so by the obedience on One (Jesus) shall many be made righteous”
(Romans 5:15:19).

The problem is that God has provided the way for mankind to be reconciled unto
Him (II Corinthians 5:17-21) “therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature,
old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new.  And all things are
of God, who has reconciled us to Himself, by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the
ministry of reconciliation.  To say, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to
Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the world of
reconciliation.  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did
beseech you by us, we pray you in Christ’s stead, be you reconciled to God.  For He
has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in Him”, but man have been trying to get to God by their own
righteousness.

Paul warns against this (Romans 10:2-5) “for I bear them record that they have a
zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.  For they being ignorant of God’s
righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not
submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.  For Christ is the end of the law
for righteousness to every one that believes.  For Moses describes the
righteousness which is of the law, that the man which does those things shall live by
them”.

Life is in Christ  (John 1:1-4) “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.  The Same was in the beginning with God.  All things
were made by Him, and with Him was not any thing made that was made.  In Him was
life, and the life was the light of men”.  The Bible says in John 3:36 “he that believes
on the Son has everlasting life, and he that believes not the Son shall not see life,
but the wrath of God abides on him”.  And Jesus says in John 6:40 “and this is the
will of Him that send Me, that every one which sees the Son, and believes on Him,
may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day”.

Romans 6:23 says “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord”.  Ephesians chapter 2 reveals God’s love for us “and
you has He quickened (made alive) who were dead in trespasses and sins.
Wherein in time past you walked according to the prince of the power of the air, the
spirit that now works in the children of disobedience.  Among whom also we all had
our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the
flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.  But
God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us.  Even when we
were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, by grace you are saved”.
That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of
Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without
God in the world.  But now in Christ Jesus you who sometimes were far off are made
near by the blood of Christ”.  We also read this in Colossians 1:13-21.  God has
made the way for mankind to be saved, but we must receive His free gift.

No one will ever be good enough on their own power to live up to the holiness of
God, Romans 3:23-26 says “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare
His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past through the forbearance of
God.  To declare, I say at this time His righteousness that He might be just, and the
justifier of him which believes in Jesus”.  Leviticus 19:2 and I Peter 1:16 says “be
you holy as God is holy”.  If you are counting on your own righteousness, examine
yourself, and a good test is the ten commandments.  See if you have ever broken
even one of these, you are guilty of them all.

We are warned that in the last days, that many will be deceived (Matthew 24:11, 23-
26) “and many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many.  Then if any man
shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.  For there shall arise
false Christ’s and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, in so
much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  Behold, I have told
you before.  Wherefore if they shall say to you, behold, He is in the desert, go not
forth; behold, he is in the secret chambers believe it not”.

Paul tells us that even if an angel comes to us with another doctrine of Christ, let
him be accused (II Corinthian 11:4); yet many religious leaders have preached a
different from the doctrine of Christ, and led many away.   Examine the doctrine of
the Mormons, or as they are sometimes called Jesus Christ of the latter day saints.
Their leader Mr. Smith heard from an angel, who changed the way to be saved.
And also the Muslims, who’s leader Mohammad heard from an angel, and he even
told his wife that he had a demon, but continued to establish his own way to God.

We are told to study to show ourselves approved, a workman rightly dividing the
word of truth.  And also we are to be ready to give an answer of the hope within us.
Remember that God does not want any to perish, but that all would come to the
knowledge of the truth.  With this information we can reach many, and this is not all
of the exhorted proof.  Let us have compassion on the lost, remember that Jesus
came to seek and to save the lost.
