How Faith Works
Faith = believing and acting upon the Word of God
Act like God you Father: “even God, who makes alive the dead, and calls those
things which be not as through they were” (Romans 4:17).
Speak to the mountain (Mark 11:22-24), connect with the Holy Spirit by talking to
the Holy Spirit throughout your day. The Holy Spirit is our helper. It is not your
works that get you through, it is your relationship with God that will direct you
through. Prophesy the Word of God against your problems (Ezekiel 37:4-10). Be a
doer of the Word of God, the Bible says “God gave the word, great was the
company of them that proclaim it” (Psalms 68:11). There is death and life in the
power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:20-21). We are children of the light and the
words we speak should be words of life. Have knowledge of your covenant rights
and lay claim of them. We are children of Abraham (Galatians 3:7).
Everyone has been given the measure of faith. You have to develop your faith.
The more Word you get the more faith you get. The Bible says “So then faith
comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Feed your faith
on God’s Word. Exercise your faith, just like a body gets stronger by exercise,
even so your spirit gets stronger by exercise. Check up on what you are hearing
(Proverbs 4:20-23).
Be confident: (I John 5:14-15). Expect and believe that God will do what He said
He would do. The Bible said “I believed therefore I spoke”. James says “to count it
all joy” (James 1;2-7).
Rest in the Lord: Jesus said “fear not, believe only” (Mark 5:36). Let the peace of
God rule in your heart, and refuse to worry about anything (Philippians 4:4-9).
Faith works by Love: (Matthew 22;37-40). We have to love God with our whole
heart and love our neighbor as our self, we have to know that God loves us. The
key is know, know = intimacy with. As we draw closer to God we get to know His
ways and can trust what He says as truth. There by fixing our minds on it, and
remember “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). Ephesians 3:20
says “Now to Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or
think, according to the power that works in us”, the key is above all that we ask or
think, if you don’t ask or think on positive things, we are actually limiting God. What
are you thinking and asking God for?
