Fight – To contend with an adversary, endeavor to accomplish
something, strive, struggle, contest
There is a song that goes “We are soldiers in the army of the Lord”, well then, as
soldiers (II Tim 2:3-4) we have to hate what God hates, and stand against it. (Ps 97:10,
119:104, Prov 6:16).
Jesus never responded according to the flesh! (Matt 16:21-23) Jesus came at satan,
people are not your problem. The devil uses people to get us into unforgiveness, taking
us out of God’s grace. Because if we don’t forgive we can not be forgiven. Put on the
whole armor of God (Eph 6:10-17); we are more than conquerors (Rom 8:35-37).
Put your angels to work: (Ps 91:10-12, Matt 26:52-53, Heb 1:14-2:3). Remember there
is death and life in the power of your tongue. (Prov 18:21). Ps 103:20 says the angels
are listening for the Word of God to perform it; when we speak what God says we are
putting our angels to work for us.
Jesus told us to follow Him, He beat the devil in the wilderness by the Word of God
(Luke 4:1-13). Stand on the Word. (I Cor 16:13, II Cor 1:24, Gal 5:1, Phil 4:1, I Thess 3:
8) The Bible says “let the weak say I am strong:, “let the redeemed of the Lord, say
so”! redeemed = freed from the oppressive bondage of slavery to sin, the law and the
fear of death, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you are free indeed” (John 8:34,
36).
We have a covenant with the Almighty God – walk in it! (Gal 5:16, Phil 4:4,6-9). Cast
your cares on God for He cares for you. Fervent prayer = intent, without ceasing, zeal (
Rom 12:11, James 5:16) Pray for those who mistreat you (Matt 5:44) Prophesy to your
dry bones (Eze 37:4-14). Praying in the Spirit (Jude 20).
Submit to God, resist the devil…(James 4:7) resist = attack, an opponent, persecute,
hate, stand against, withstand, oppose (I Pet 5:9) Speak to the mountain (Mark 11:22-
24).
Renew your mind: (Rom 12:1-2) let the Bible have the final authority in your life. The
weapons of our warfare are not carnal…. Bring every thought under control….(I Cor 10:
3-5). Guard your heart, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Hold
fast to your confession (I Tim 6:12-14, Heb 3:1, 4:14) The violent take it by force….(Matt
11:12).
Paul tells us to fight the good fight of faith (I Cor 9:26, II Tim 4:7). We overcome the
world, even our faith (I John 2:13-14, 4:4, 5:4-5)
Fear not! Believe only: - God tells us many times to fear not, for He is with us. (Isa 41:
10).
Use the Name of Jesus (John 14:13-14, 16:23-24). When we say “in the name of Jesus”
we are using our power of attorney. A power of authority gives us the right to represent
that person.
God will rebuke the devourer for us, if we tithe. (Mal 3:10-12)
Plead the blood – We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony
(Rev 12:11). The Israelites applied the blood to the door of their homes and the death
angel passed over them (Ex 12:11). Jesus is our Passover (I Cor 5:7). We plead and
apply the blood by our words, declaring the blood over what ever situation or
circumstance needed.
Remember the battle has already been won, by Jesus (Col 3:15). We need to know
who we are in Christ! Study all the scriptures:
“In Christ” “In Him” “In Whom”
We will see who we are Now, in Christ. We are strong in the Lord and the power of His
might.
