Create

Creation – God’s action in bringing the natural universe into being.  The writer of
the Hebrews declared, “By faith we understand that the world was framed by the
word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which
are visible” (Hebrews 11:3).  The phrase “God created” (Genesis 1:1,21,27) and
by another “God said” (Genesis 1;3,6,7,11,14,29,24,26,29), in frequency attests
to its significance in stressing the way in which God created – simply by
speaking a word (Psalms 33:6,9) “By the word of the Lord Yahweh were the
heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.  For He
spoke, and it was done.  He commanded, and it stood fast”.  God said, “Let Us
make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” (Genesis 1:26).  This
statement has fascinated thinkers for centuries.  Just what does the image of
God mean?  To be created in God’s image means that men and women though
creatures, are akin to God, made like Him.  God is Creator, people also have the
capacity to be creative.  This is one distinct meaning of the truth that we are
created in God’s image.  Mankind is the only creature that can create things.
God is speaker and ruler, people were also told to have dominion over the
creation (Psalms 8:6-8) “You made him to have dominion over the works of Your
hands. You have put all things under his feet.  All sheep and oxen, yea, and the
beasts of the field; the fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea and whatsoever
passes through the paths of the seas”.

You are to create your destiny.  Only you can stop you, so stop blaming others
and things.  Jesus said “all things are possible to them that believe” (Mark 9:
23).  Proverbs 4:20-24 shows us how; “My son, attend to My words, incline your
ear to My sayings.  Let them not depart from your eyes, keep them in the midst
of your heart.  For they are life to those that find them, and health to all their
flesh.  Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.  Put
away from you a forward mouth, and perverse lips put far from you”.  Jesus
further explains, “O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good
things?  For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.  A good man
out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things, and an evil man
out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.  But I say to you, that every idle
word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of
judgment.  For by your words you shall be justified and by your words you shall
be condemned”(Matthew 12:34-37).

Proverbs 15:2,4 “the tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright, but the mouth of
fools pours our foolishness.  A wholesome tongue is a tree of life; but
perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit”.  And Proverbs 18:20-21 “a man’s
belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth, and with the increase of his lips
shall he be filled.  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that
love it shall eat the fruit thereof”.  Psalms 37:30 says “The mouth of the
righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.  The law of his God
is in his heart, none of his steps shall slide”.  Jesus said “the word is seed” and
“the words that I speak to you, there are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63).

We have to take the word of God and plant it in our heart, and that seed will
grow in abundance and when we speak from the heart, we will see the fruit.  The
Bible says “Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows,
that shall he also reap.  For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that sows to the spirit, shall of the Spirit, reap life everlasting”
(Galatians 6:7-8).  Jesus said “I only speak what I have heard My Father
speak”.  Jesus said “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on Me, the
works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do,
because I go unto My Father”.  Psalm 68:11 says “the Lord gave the word; great
was the company of those that published it”.  II Corinthians 4:13 says “We
having the same spirit of faith according as it is written; I believed and therefore
have I spoken, we also believe, and therefore speak”.  Let us check up on what
words we are speaking.  Remember as Psalm 82:6-8 says “I have said, you are
gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.  But you shall die like men,
and fall like one of the princes.  Arise  o, god, judge the earth, for you shall
inherit all nations”.  Psalms 115:16 says “the heaven even the heavens are the
Lord’s but the earth has He given to the children of men”.
